Ireland, often referred to as the Green Island, is one of the British Isles. The Isle is 85.000km2, and thus about the size of Austria. Ireland is politically divided into the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, with Northern Ireland being part of the United Kingdom. After two and a half hours of flight, we land at 18.00 local time in Ireland's capital Dublin. For now, on foot, we explore the center of the city. The Temple Bar district is a vibrant neighborhood with numerous pubs, restaurants, markets and shops.

The christ church cathedral was built at the year of 1038.

For more than 250 years, Europe's largest brewery has produced the dark bitter beer with low gas and the thick whitish-creamy foam. The beer became known worldwide. The Guinness family was and is one of the most influential families in Ireland.

The "Garden of Remambrance" not only commemorates the patriots of the Easter Rebellion of 1916, but all those who gave their lives to fight for the freedom of Ireland.
