On the way back to Hobart we visit the "Freycinet National Park" at the east coast.
The park is dominated by steep, red-brown granite. There are idyllic bays with names Wineglass Bay or Sleepy Bay.

At the end of our Tasmania trip we visit the convict settlement "Port Arthur". The convict settlement on the hopeless peninsula was created in 1830 at the behest of the then Governor Arthur. She had existed until 1877, and was one time, not less than 12,000 prisoners. This came from the mainland where the convict deportations were not desired.
